My Job ad says: Sr Business analyst wanted ... with MS/MBA or foreign equivalent with 5 yrs exp.
I have
BSc in physics - 3 yr India degree
PG diploma in Instrumentation - 1 Yr India PG diploma
PG dip in marketing mgmt - 1 Yr India PG dip (E learning)
PG dip in buiness admin - 1 Yr India PG dip (E learning)
MBA - 3 Yr India PG degree (E learning)
6 yrs in healthcare, 2 yrs in sales, 5 yrs as Business analyst with Indian s/w vendor. 13 yrs in total.
Does my job ad allow me to qualify for EB2? Will I have any issues at my I-140 stage? Pls share your thoughts

IMMIGRATION

- 32% want to reduce legal immigration
TAXES/SPENDING
- 91% have sworn to never allow an income tax increase on any individual or business � regardless of deficits or war
- 79% have pledged to permanently repeal the estate tax
- 48% are pushing for a balanced budget amendment
i have no particular affinity for either democrats or republicans (and since i cannot vote - dont care much either) - but not everything in this list is bad......
1. almost no other country has an unqualified birth-right on citizenship........so, if americans at some point want this changed - this is well within their rights.......however, constitution amendment process is so complex in this country ( i believe all states have to ratify or something like that) - it is near impossible.
2. balanced budget is not a bad idea - deficit financing ad infinitum does not make much sense
3. most of us dont like tax hikes - so if GOP folks agree with that view - whats wrong with that?
4. Estate Tax is just the Govt's way of destroying individual wealth even after death - repealing it is actually a fairly good idea.
the unfortunate reality is that both parties have some good ideas and some nutty ideas and the pity is we cannot choose what we like best from each - the set of beliefs is a like a package deal - you get the good with the bad.........

if you file AOS (I-485) then only you will get EAD/AP benefits, but to file I-485 you need to stay in visa like H1B/H4. if you are H1B visa holder, you will eligible to file for it as prinicipal applicant but inorder for your spouse/dependents to qualify as dependent, she has to be in dependent visa (H4) at filing time, so F1 holder is considered as student not as dependent so they are not eligible to file.

I have heard that it doesnt matter if your spouse is on F1 or H1. If one applicant files for I-485, his spouse will be included in the application never the less.

Generally you need not pay the taxes right upfront, However if at the end of the year when you file your taxes, if the IRS determines that you owed lot of taxes and you hadn't make any advance payment it could create lot of issues,
Also imagine getting a tax bill for $$$$$ at the end of the year and you need to shell out right huge amount instead of making a small installments (Similar to the W2 withholdings )
Better choice, Make an advance tax payment, it would reduce the tax burden at the end, You may also get a refund.....
You can make the advance payment by getting an voucher and filling the details...., It need not be in both names, it can be just in your wife's name.
Again it doesn't matter how much you want to pay up...Pay like 3-4K per quarter and you are good...At the end of the year if you owe any additional amount you will pay it else if you made any extra payments you will get refund
All of it is just one single payment, Nothing to separate

on aug 9, nikon anounced the "D80" http://www.dpreview.com/articles/nikond80/
im thinking about making the jump from my pentax ist ds to nikon... i just started photography and think i sould swich to nikon while i still can. i have a few sd cards and think it would be ether the d50 or d80, would it be wourth spending the extra $200 or $400 on the d80. i like the 10mp, the Multiple-exposures capabilities, 100iso ect.
any thoughts

Hey guys,
My MTR was approved almost 3 months ago and my attorney received the MTR approval notice.
The decision was that both mine and my wife's I-485's are reopened.
But its been almost 3 months and online status on USCIS website has not changed yet......
Does anyone noticed the same situtation with their MTR approval and no online status change?

With the revision of the bulletin being revoked, things kind of worked out ok. However why has'nt anyone looked into what exactly happened on July 2nd and who was responsible for what? All the questions that Zoe Lofgren asked were very legitimate. Why were they not answered? We had Condi Rice say that all visa's were exhausted; this was on TV. Was she lying or mis-informed by someone in her department? Who misinformed her? What was the motivation for revising the bulletin? Who ordered the mass-processing of pending applicatons that we have now seen? Why were all dates made current in the first place? Which agency did it and who did they not talk to?
If it were not for the flower-campaign induced media exposure, and the tough stance taken by Zoe Lofgren, USCIS/DOS could have gotten away doing whatever they wanted. What if the next time something like this happens Zoe is not working on the immigration subcommittee in the House? No one else stood up against this mangling of the law. If you steal a car and two weeks later go put it back where you took it from, it does not change the fact that you stole the car and must be held responsible for it. Where is the responsibility for what happened on July 2nd?
Anyone contacted the Ombudsman to see if he is doing a special report on this July 2nd fiasco?

I called Ciudad Juarez, Mexico - -800-919-1754 (with a cost of US$7.00 per call payable by Visa or MasterCard) and checked up with the customer service with my petition number whether he could see my petition details in his system. He told me that he could see my petition details in the system. And, I asked him whether that information is from PIMS? But, he told me that he is not sure what system is that but he could see my petition information.
Does anyone have thoughts on this ... ie., MY Petition information is available in PIMS right now? If so, when will I get the passports stamped?

Because I got my AP receipt and there is no information for I-485, and AP is based on 485.

Yes I probably should have said Worldwide Employment Third. My primary concern at this point is with the China E3 cut-off date which has an extremely large amount of demand.
